This concludes another successful year The MCC\u2019s Health and Wellness Expo, in partnership with PHAC; the Public Health Agency of Canada. On Thursday October 19th, adult ESL students from Windsor \u2013 Essex were bussed to the 2023 MCC Health and Wellness Expo, taking place at Ciociaro Club in Windsor.<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>Over 1000 students were on hand to learn about Health and Wellness services from over 40 community agencies from Windsor \u2013 Essex. All facets of personal wellness \u2013 including nutrition, sports and fitness, mental health, treatment, community services and more were represented. <\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>The day-long Expo, which was founded in 2002, offered refugees, newcomers, immigrant and members of ethno-cultural communities free transportation and admission to the event in hopes of improving their awareness of the physical and mental health services available. Volunteers from The MCC were on hand to act as interpreters for all those who attended, to help interact with local vendors. <\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>This year\u2019s expo was sponsored by the Public Health Agency of Canada, highlighting the significance of the event for the community.
