NOTICE TO MEMBERS – BOARD ELECTIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elections will be held to fill open positions for the Board of Directors of the Multicultural\u00a0Council of Windsor and Essex County (MCC) at its Annual General Membership Meeting to take place September 27, 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MCC is a non-profit charitable organization committed \u201cto creating a welcoming\u00a0community for all through education, community engagement and the promotion of\u00a0diversity and equality.\u201d<\/p>\n

The MCC works with many community partners to ensure newcomer\/immigrant clients\u00a0receive opportunities to learn, practice, and become independent contributors to\u00a0Canadian society. All services and programs are inclusive and comprehensive, providing\u00a0an exemplary level of assistance to individuals, youth, seniors and families. As evidence\u00a0of this, the following list includes some of the services and programs offered at the MCC\u00a0to assist, educate, train and support for creating an easier transition for newcomers,\u00a0refugees, youth, women, men, families and the community at large through:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Language and Skills
\u2022 Welcoming Communities<\/p>\n

The MCC has offered comprehensive and inclusive services to Windsor and Essex\u00a0County for 50 years.
We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that directs the agency through a\u00a0Governance Policy which is modeled after the Carver Governance Model. It is vital that\u00a0these volunteers have a dedication to the Mission of the M.C.C. and reflect the diversity\u00a0of our community.<\/p>\n
