Annual General Meeting 2020<\/strong><\/h1>\n

T<\/span>he Annual General Meeting of the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County was held on September 16, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a year of ingenuity and adaptation, we elected to meet safely and virtually for our annual gathering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the many challenges of 2020, the MCC remained active and continued our services to the community. We explored innovative initiatives to expand outreach and deliver our services in new ways this year, including the MCC Youth Work Ready program presented by the Solcz Foundation and a comprehensive oral health and wellness program supported by Green Shield Canada and the WindsorEssex Community Foundation. <\/span><\/p>\n

We were excited to continue the 45 year tradition of Carrousel by bringing the region\u2019s unique mix of cultures directly into people\u2019s homes with the first ever social-media based Carrousel of the Nations \u2013\u00a0Carrousel@Home<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

We take great pride in the fact that, in the face of the very real challenges of a global pandemic, the MCC had zero service reductions, zero planning reductions and zero staff reductions as a result of COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The evening was an opportunity to celebrate all those who supported the MCC in 2019 and 2020 \u2013 including our membership. <\/span><\/p>\n

We look forward to gathering together in person very soon.<\/span><\/p>\n
