Orientation Program

Orientation Program

The MCC provides Orientation settlement services to newcomers to Canada.

Settlement staff provide orientation assistance to the newcomers so they have the appropriate knowledge and information to settle in Canada. They provide assistance completing forms, making inquiries on behalf of the client for their various needs, setting up appointments, connecting them to the community, day-to-day assistance with housing and supports as well as goal setting for their futures. Additionally, staff will work with the clients to develop a settlement plan to help meet their needs, broker their assets and work towards their goals as they help make Windsor-Essex “their new home”.

Orientation services at the Multicultural Council offers one-on-one settlement and integration assistance to eligible clients. It also offers specialized group workshops such as Driving in Ontario, Citizenship preparation and other workshops designed to enhance knowledge and provide vital information about the settlement process.
