POSITION: Employment & Training Program Recruitment Lead

REPORTS TO: Director of Programs & Development 

Job Type: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY: 

In support of the mission and vision of the Multicultural Council of Windsor & Essex County, the Program Recruitment Lead is responsible for all aspects of participant recruitment for the Employment & Training Services Department.

Under the direction of the Director of Programs & Development, the Program Recruitment Lead will focus on identifying target applicant groups, co-developing and implementing the participant outreach strategy, monitoring the application pipeline and adjusting the outreach strategy as required, assessing clients for suitability, making offers, and maximizing applicant acceptances.

QUALIFICATONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Post-secondary education and/or degree in related field of study (i.e. Human
    Services, Administration, Communication) and/or relevant experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, database management, and internet search
  • Proven experience conducting various types of interviews (i.e., phone, video,
    etc.)
  • Experience developing recruiting strategies
  • Experience in job/career development and assessment
  • Knowledge and experience with issues related to diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be flexible to demanding and changing timelines.
  • Ability to speak a second language considered an asset
  • Must possess a valid Level 3 vulnerable sector police clearance, renewed every 3 years

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Implement marketing and recruitment strategies to ensure that participant targets are met while ensuring the program has a high profile in the community.
  • Presentations to various organizations and or community agencies in order to recruit participants for the program.
  • Meet with clients to complete intake process, assessment of client skills to ensure proper placement.
  • Research and identify potential program applicant pools that fit the client profiles and develop and execute outreach strategies for these groups.
  • Identify and develop multiple channels that efficiently maximize the outreach to potential program applicants such as through partnerships with community agencies, employment agencies, colleges/universities etc.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop, test, and iterate tailored messaging (emails, phone scripts, one-pagers) and campaigns and info sessions that educate, create excitement and drive demand from potential applicants.
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Programs & Development, develop the end-to-end applicant assessment process, including screening criteria, interview questions and the evaluation rubric.
  • Screen resumes, and identify potential candidates. Schedule and conduct interviews, and make acceptance recommendations to the Director of Programs & Development aligned with acceptance targets.
  • Provide reports as required by immediate supervisor and the funder.
  • Implementation of administrative processes to ensure that reporting and communications requirements are met, including a tracking process when the participant began, progress during the course and follow up 3, 6 and 9 months after the placement completion.
