Homework Club (HWC)


Program Description: The Homework Club is funded by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This group is designed to assist newcomer youth between the ages of 14 to 24 years old with their homework. In addition to availability of resources such as computers, books, etc., youth also have access to volunteers who are able to assist them with their homework.

Eligibility: Newcomers, ages 14 – 24

Location: 7651 Tecumseh Road East ( MCC East End)

Time: Tuesday and Thursday; 3pm – 5pm.

After School Program (ASP):


Program Description: The After School Program is a new program at the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County, proud funded partner of the United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County. The ASP includes a homework club with a daily academic support, enrichment and recreation component with planned physical activities, and daily nutrition component. After completion of homework, youth are involved in structured activities that include English literacy, Numeracy, Science, Arts and Crafts, and Computer literacy.

Eligibility: Children and youth ages 7 to 12

Location: 7651 Tecumseh Road East, (MCC East End)

Time: Monday to Thursday: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm, Friday: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
